Taking risks

This morning I read this prayer and I would like to share it with you.

Lord, I want to go higher. Don't let me settle for a toned-down faith that refuses to take risks. Let me joyfully leap on mountains with You - always trusting. Amen

I think we could all exercise our faith a bit more and take risks, for the glory of God.
This prayer was written in response to Habakkuk 3:18-19, which talks about knowing the joy of the Lord will turn your feet into "deer's feet", so that you may leap through the dangerous places of your life with complete trust in the Lord that you will not fall, for the deer's feet are sure.
God bless

I'm here!

At last, after two and a half years of forms and interviews and medicals, I am finally in Vancouver.
When I first came here in 2001 I never imagined I would be living here six years later.
Today, the sun is shining, the north shore mountains are topped with snow (must take some photos to show you), and people are smiling.
The bus driver smiled at me, the people in the street smile at me, and Timothy smiled at me :)
It's this subtle difference in attitude that makes Vancouver seem friendlier, more relaxed.
Today, the mortgage broker came round to see me at home, to explain my mortgage options and the whole house buying process here in BC.
And tonight, our fellowship has organised a gym night. I am, as yet, a bit clueless as to what this entails, but you will hear in time the details of this event (and how I fared!).
Bye for now. God bless.
